Supporting the Grassroots Project’s Mission to Grow for Good

Based in Egham, the Grassroots Project offers day services for adults with learning disabilities, ensuring opportunities for individuals at all levels of ability.
We recently supplied John Innes No.3 for the team to grow vegetables for the local community fridge project. They will then cook meals for disadvantaged members of the community.
“This project will be taken in a new direction, one that will benefit a wider user base, bringing them together to benefit the community, their own individual recovery from mental health conditions such as depression, and as an end goal, get adults with a learning disability into employment.”
“Part of this new project will involve building many more planters for schools, to create school gardens. By involving these groups, each school garden becomes more than just a growing space – it becomes a living example of community connection, resilience, and inclusion.”
Thanks to Martin for sending us the great photos!
