Seasonal Tips for the Winter

01/11/2017 16:00

Here are a few tips for garden care during the winter...

This is the time of year for you to be thinking about cutting down dead perennials, collecting fallen rose leaves that could carry diseases over to next season, trimming flowering heathers, raking fallen leaves as well as dealing with other pieces of general garden refuse. When clearing your garden why not use one of our bulk bags for your garden waste, once these are full simply call us. You can order bulk bags on line via our Waste Bag Collection service and this is an easy and convenient way of disposing of your garden, household and construction waste and means that it will be taken away and recycled where possible. You can place the empty bag anywhere around the garden to wherever you maybe working – that’s something you can’t do that with a skip!

Over the winter it is a good idea to consider improving your soil by digging in Soil Conditioners. So, why not try our Shredded or Mushroom Compost to improve the quality of your soil over the winter period.

The early morning frost and the chilly nights seem to make even the most hardy surface slippery. Falling or tripping over could mean a nasty fall – particularly for Granny! To help prevent this we supply Rock Salt the this comes in small 25kg bags or bulk bags holding approximately a tonne - click here for all our Winter Products.

At the end of a long winters day, it’s great to curl up by an open fire? For those cosy winter evenings order your logs from us for that added warmth to your home. Our logs are available in bulk bags or in small net bags. To order go to our Winter Products section.
